Credit card details (including UCV)
 
Today I've been required to give my credit card details (including UCV) to release a payment due for an item that I sold. Explanation: to verify me as a seller. Well, I'm not comfortable with giving those details away. Is this legal?

No, not normal. That might be a scam. Some messages are circulating here asking that. I had one also last week.

Just got the same question. Mailed to cdandlp that they already have my banc account details on file. As I don't accept credit card payments I don't see the importance of asking for CC details.

I haven't bought any product, I apparently sold one, but I didn't get any notification about it, or about which product is it.

I'm not comfortable giving my credit card data to get money, this is used only to make payments...
